The Gimp is a graphics tool similar to Adobe's Photoshop.

I use the Gimp to create many of the graphics you see in my web pages. I am not an artist, as may well be apparent. But with a little work I've managed to create most of the graphics you see in these pages. I used the "general image manipulation tool" to trim some images I created with POV-Ray and the rest I did with the "GIMP".

Now, there's great news for MS Windows users as the GIMP has been released as a binary for PCs running Microsoft products. I just installed this on my PC and it is as good as the Linux version and for the price it is very impressive. My hat is off to the GIMP team for their skill and generousity.

The link below is the one that will take you to the GIMP website. There is information there about obtaining and installing the GIMP. It's definitely worth taking a look at!

Gimp Tutorials

Eventually I will be posting a couple of tutorials I have written for the Gimp but for right now, you might want to check out the Gimp Website to find out more.
