At first she was a little reluctant to try. But I convinced her to give it a shot by telling her I would help her set it up.

I gave her the camera I had brought along for her, and a tripod, and she hunted around until she found a picture she wanted to take.

"Andy?"
"Yes?"
"I can't see anything in the viewfinder."
"Try taking the lens cap off."

She reached around in front and removed the cap, but didn't find the surprise that was hidden there for her. I was nervously awaiting the moment.

"Andy?"
"Yes?"
"I still can't see anything."
"Well, the lens cap is off, try seeing if there's anything stuck in the lens."

Half a second later there was a shreik of delight, and I found myself on my knees, being hugged mercilessly, and asking Deborah to marry me...

And I won't say here what we told each other that night, but right then, I knew one thing...
