Welcome
to the Shadow Runners
team website. We are a novice class competition paintball team based out
of Northern Indiana.
We are part of High Intensity, a combination of T-N-T and Shadow Runners. As a part of H.I., we work to support new players of the game of paintball and promote good sportsmanship and teamwork on the field. High Intensity currently is T-N-T and Shadow Runners, but would like to also have an all female and junior team as well. As teammates of High Intensity, members of both T-N-T and Shadow Runners will sub for either team, if needed. For large tournaments, we all compete together as High Intensity.
11/16/98 Well, we are starting to get our things organized for next season. We had a small meeting this weekend to get the team together. We are going to be busy getting the team members around. We are hoping to have a new look this coming season with some different team members and hopefully some new sponsors. We are going to work on making this year a lot more organized. Hopefully, we got most of the bugs of a newly formed team, worked out last year, and will continue working them out over the winter before the new series starts.

We are also a member of the I.C.C. (Indiana Captains Council). The I.C.C. is an organization dedicated to promoting the sport of paintball in Indiana.
As we develop this site, we will have links to many different areas, like: member profiles, pictures, tournament schedules and placings, upcoming attractions, sponsor information and much more!

Tournaments Played
July 12, 1998. 14th Place - ICC 5-man - Paintball Indiana- Mooresville, IN. This was our worst tournament so far. We had two new players, because of personal engagements with our other players. Not being familiar with each others playing styles, and the addition of a -85 point penalty (only chronoed off at 345fps!) for a gun malfunction put us in a bad situation, early on. Seeing that we were in this situation, we just went out to have fun and enjoy ourselves. I guess we all have those days, every now and then.
Even after this terrible performance, we still managed to hold on and finish 2nd Place in the Novice Division of the I.C.C. Tournament Series!!! Congrats and well done, to Killer Bees I (Amateur) and Killer Bees III (Novice) for their 1st Place finishes! Read about it at the I.C.C. Homepage.
June 14, 1998. 6th Place - ICC/NAAPSA 5-man - Fantasy Fields
- Denver, IN. This was one of our best tournaments so far.
We lead the Novice division and our field for the first few games. We defeated
Joker's Wild and Bad Dreams our first two games before losing to DNA in
our third. Palace Knights defeated us in game four. Game five we played
a tough one against No Compromise we had the first pull and possession of
the flag but just couldn't eliminate their final player, to get it placed
before time ran out. We went in to our final
game
ranked 1st in the Novice division and 3rd on our field. We played Mixed
Reaction the 2nd place Novice team and 4th on our field. We put up a good
fight, but they finally eliminated us for the defeat. We ended up placing
2nd (Novice Division), 4th (Field 2) and 6th (Overall). Congrats
to Voodoo Posse for 1st Place overall!
May 17, 1998. 8th Place - ICC 5-Man - Sherwood Forest - LaPorte, IN. This was another very good learning experience for the team. We were in 3rd place going into the 5th game. But, missed making the finals, when we ran out of time in game 5, and couldn't get the flag pull. Once again, we played some very good amature teams.
April 19, 1998. 16th Place - ICC/NAAPSA 5-Man - Paintball Indiana - Mooresville, IN. This was our first tournament as Shadow Runners. This was a great learning experience, going up against some very good amature teams, including last years ICC Champs, The Killer Bees.
April 5, 1998. 6th Place - Spring Fling - Fantasy Fields - Denver, IN. We teamed up with and competed as T-N-T at this tournament. We placed 6th out of 17 teams. The team for this tournament was: Jimmy "Sparky" Sparks (Captain-SimWar), Bryon "Thumper" Hilligess (T-N-T), Mike "Psycho" Iholtz (T-N-T), Michael "Havoc" Wright (Shadow Runners), and Charlie "Aries" Shepard (Shadow Runners).
